Exciting Updates to Our Gathering, Welcoming, and Garden Spaces!
We are thrilled to announce the successful transformation of our Gathering, Welcoming, and Garden spaces, and it’s all thanks to YOU!
With immense gratitude, we celebrate the collective effort of our community, which led to the raising of over $15,000. This incredible feat was achieved through heartfelt donations from our congregation, memorial contributions, and a significant $4,000 grant from the UUMC Endowment Funds. These funds have allowed us to enhance our Gathering and Welcoming areas with cozy armchairs, handy end tables, organizational structures, and dedicated tables to showcase the events and causes we fervently support.
Moreover, we’ve also introduced a café and meeting spot within the Garden area for everyone to relish.
A special shout-out to the Furniture Upgrade and Fund-Raising Committee: Sara Musson, Sarah Cardinal, Merle Boehmer, Pastor Melanie Carey, Bruce Weaton, and Janel Horrocks-Boehmer. Their visionary guidance was perfectly complemented by the practical hands of Katie and Eric Hanson, Anne Leonard, Merle Boehmer, Steve Forest, and Janel H-B, who meticulously assembled all the furniture.
Thanks to all involved’s unyielding dedication and generosity, we now boast a cozy extension of our Sanctuary. A place where we can warmly greet visitors, share heartfelt embraces with our community, and host various groups.
